From Bhutan with love
Every so often here at The Climate Project - Australia something happens that makes it all so worthwhile.
This week we received a very exciting package in the mail postmarked Bhutan. It was written by Mr Arunava Das, a connector who is also the principal of Minjiwoong Lower Secondary School in the mountains of North Eastern Bhutan.
"I screened Telling the Truth to my students and colleagues at the school and got an overwhelming response," he writes. Mr Das also said he is committed to continuing with the project “though I am handicapped here because Bhutan is a heavy mountainous country, harboured within the inner Himalayas”.
Following the screening students vowed to make Bhutan still more greener with a number of suggestions including - using solar energy, using horses instead of cars, proper garbage disposal and using recycled paper.
We sincerely thank Mr Das and all his students and colleagues at Minjiwoong - your commitment to the project should inspire us all!
